Left: red,pink and white  peonies.. They require  little care and can be divided in a few years Many times, division improves the blooms and makes a healthier plant.  I  also grow  peonies in a part sun area of the backyard gardens  While they don't make as many blooms. they last longer in the shade.

Irises blooming in my sunny garden., They need minimal care and multiply freely, Just give them a little bulb fertilizer  and when crowded, split them in the fall 
I just added the pink/rose Iris named Impressionist to my garden  in 2007 .

Coreopsis with rose pink yarrow are sun loving perennials. .
Every sunny garden should have daisies in it. This old favorite will bloom longer if you remove the dead blooms.
Meadowsweet is a tall plant and belongs in the rear of the garden. The dainty plumes bloom early July in Central MN.
Daylillies got their name because each bloom last one day...One nice thing about Daylillies is after they're done blooming, the leaves look good in the garden.
