Seems everyone who has or has had a Mini Schnauzer is familiar with these Schnauzery Traits/Behaviors:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Froglegs Chicken-leg (1/2 a Frogleg) "Dead Sleep" (on back with feet up) Snoring (goes with the position) Shake-and-kill Squirrel (or rat or ball) chasing Neighborhood Patrol from Window Snorting |
All of the Schnauzer owners I know say that their pups also do Froglegs, Shake-n-kill, and snort, too! Who knows why Schnauzers do all the things they do? Is it a coincidence that they share all these "favorite" games and positions? Or maybe they are built in a way that makes those positions comfiest and behaviors instinctive. After all, they came from the same rat-chasing bloodlines! But they certainly have some likenesses that seem to be breed particular! Whatever the reason, Schnauzer owners can bond over their precious companions' behaviors and, like my Mom, they can't walk past a Schnauzer without getting excited and seeing a little bit of their own baby in every Schnauzer! |
