F.A.Q.

What is Anime?
Well...if u don't know what it is then i don't know what u'r here for...
Just kidding!!!
Anime is basically Japanese animation! For example...Pokemon, Digimon and Bubblegum Crisis...I think those are the common ones showing now....

What is a Fansub?
Its Jap. animation that hasn't been commercially released out of Japan and has been translated by fans for fans (SUUUUUUUUCH nice people ^_^). They've gotta be:

    • Non-profit - Ought not be used to make $$$ (through sale or rental) and should be distributed freely between fans. Any costs involved should only be for covering "hidden costs" - like postage, labels, cases etc... etc...
    • Void from parallel distribution in their respective countries - Distributors can't distribute titles which are licensed or released commercially in whatever place they're from. So, if its officially released here in Australia I won't distribute it, gottit?!
What is a Fansub VCD?
They're these FANTASTIC little things the same size of a normal CD...because they are infact CD's...Recordable CD's to be exact...that's what the "R" in CD-R stands for! (Gosh! i'm knowledgable!). Ahhahahaahh!!
Anyway, the quality is the same as VHS and even better in the long run because they don't degrade (as i'm sure u'd have noticed with some of u'r older much-watched tapes) to the same degree as yer VHS.
Generally;
    • CD-R's will last 5 times longer (50 years) than VHS (10 years)
    • CD-R's take up less storage space
    • CD-R's are cheaper than VHS
    • VCD's can be duplicated as many times as you like and the quality stays the same
And if that explanation above doesn't convince you, why not try it and see for u'rself?

Problems, Problems, Problems?
If there's a problem with the VCD just send it back to us and we'll replace it. HOWEVER, we don't swap titles if u "didn't like it", "ordered the wrong one" etc...etc...there's gotta be a legit. fault with it i.e. "The VCD that u sent me DOESN'T WORK even though I tried a billion differerent programs on my computer and several separate DVD/VCD players...It's DEFINATELY U'R @#$% FAULT!"...Kabbish?

Will you Accept Trades?
Yerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrp!! BUT only with English Subtitled anime titles in either VCD (original or encoded), VHS (good quality), ASF, AVI or Divx formats. You gotta send the stuff first, THEN I'll send mine when I get yours.

Overseas distribution?
SORRY!!! Too complicated for my poor little brain....

How might I play these, so called, VCDs?
You can use pretty much anything that can play MPEG files- For example;

  • Home Computer - Run in Windows Media Player, PowerVCD, Xing MPEG Player, Cyberlink PowerDVD, Sasami2K etc.
  • Sony Playstation - Grab a VCD Adapter from any good games shop for about $100 and Ta Da!! you can play VCD's on them!!
  • VCD Player - Generally only to be bought in Asian countries or the odd seedy shop in Chinatown.
  • DVD Players - All the new DVD players can play VCD's, but there are a couple of the older models which don't like them very much. Please check if ya model can play burnt fansub VCD's, cause we don't swap the VCD's unless they're legitimately faulty...even if we did it wouldn't solve the problem anyway! :P
