The strategy below is almost perfect strategy for Jacks of Better video poker (99.9%
perfect).Loss beause of not playing more complicated perfect strategy is only one additional
bet per every 1000 games. I think it is reasonable price for simplicity. Be careful, 99, 9% is not payback of the game. Usually
payback differs from 97 to 99, 5% depending from the payout table of the game. Here is
the strategy.
Keep full house and above
Keep three of a kind
Keep four cards to royal flush (even if you have to discard straight or flush)
Keep flush
Keep straight
Keep two pairs
Keep any three cards to royal flush if payout (800:1)
Keep four cards to flush
Keep low pair
Keep four cards to straight if they are adjacent
Keep two lowest high cards
Keep three cards to straight flush
Keep 10 and high card of the same suit
Keep one high card
Keep nothing
Start examining your hand from the beggining of the list. When you find an entry
what matches with your hand do whatever that entry states to do. Most decisions are obvious,
