All these dark colors really creep me out. I don't know if I like this background, it creates a sense of despondency. ::CHILL:: So let me link you to my favorite game to play online. Although I once thought I was addicted to playing it, I realize that it is more of a stress reliever and just like other things, I get really excited about it at first but that interest tapers off. I still play it but only to just simply relax...anyway why am I saying all this to you? Here's the link:

Not much new is going on. The bus strike is still in effect, I still have my parent's Honda Civic, so it's really not all an inconvenience for me. I support the strike, I know that when I am older if I am ever in a position where I feel like my job is not being fair and want to strike, I would like others to support and understand me. Metro Transit council and workers need to do what they feel is right, therefore no one is "wrong". Metro Transit is saving $120,000 a day during the strike. Today is the 7th day, thus they have saved a cumalitve amount of $840,000.
The oddest thing happened the other day. I received an IM from a girl I travelled to Salzburg with. She is a student at the U of M (which I knew) and she is dating a guy in Carlson, who just so happens to be the twin brother of one of my friends who goes to school in Madison. What are the odds? It's a HUGE campus, yet I can't believe the amount of times I run into the people I am friends with. Anyway, sorry for the dull recap of my week, when something exciting happens you'll be sure to hear about it. Spring break next week! woohoo, Guten Tag!

Spring break has officaially started. I'm getting excited thinking about what I would like to do over break. That is, I would like to read a few "educational" books, meet with friends over coffee, make new friends (wink wink) and most of all, visit my best friend in Winona. I can't wait to visit Alan, I think that of all my friends, I am the most comfortable around him. It took years for it to get that way but some things have changed, and I just really appreciate his friendship now more than ever. I may not see him often, but he's one of those friends that I just know he'll always be there, no matter how much I've yelled at him or irritated him, he's just a good friend, nothing more said...
I've had a good weekend thus far. Tonite I met some friends at Al Baker's in Eagan for dinner. To my annoyance, I noticed that we were seated in a "party" section and I was going to be surrounded by a huge party for someone's 40th birthday. There had to be near 25 people attending, including a few young children. But as our meal wore on, I started observing more and more and it just made me smile. I watched these married adults in their 30s and 40s go around the table, socialize, hug and smile with their friends. They all seemed to be having a great time together, and I told James that that was what I wanted my life to be like 20 years from now...surrounded by good friends. James just looked at me funny...hmph......for just a mere few minutes, I actually got a little excited to experience whatever happened with my life in the future...but don't tell anyone I said that!  Maybe life gets better once things become more stable, I'm very very curious. Anyway, after I had dinner with those friends, I wound up calling another friend up and we met up at Caribou and we chatted for awhile before I headed back to my apartment. It put me in a really good mood. I enjoy talking to people, it's just what I do...I need to do this more often so I'm always perky like this. Hehe. Ok, I'm heading to bed now...goodnight!

HALLO!! Monday afternoon, spring break is over and mmmm I'm lovin' it! Seriously, I am way excited to be back in my regular exercise/eating/classes schedule. I really enjoy routine, I need to stick to my schedules, it keeps me busy. So last night I went to bed at midnight, because I had to get up at 7:45 for class. I was kinda mad I didn't go to bed sooner cuz usually 7 hours and 45 minutes of sleep just isn't enough. Well, I woke up at 5:45 AM and couldn't fall back asleep! I laid in bed for 2 hours with my eyes closed but didn't fall asleep. So then I was mad cuz I figured I would be soooo tired all day...well folks, you're looking at the brand new me, one that doesn't need 9 hours of sleep like I used to.
Spring break was great, I got to visit my best friend in Winona, and I spent time with a few friends throughout the break. I read some, watched some TV and hung out with my sister, grandparents in Stillwater last Friday. Stillwater is a cute little town, the downtown area especially reminds me of a mini-version of some European city. Speaking of which, the other day I had to run to the post office off of Como Ave. I have never drove on Como before and as I headed east, I drove through a very segmented portion of a street lined with shops and it was very unique.--right in the middle of St. Anthony. You don't get these kind of characteristics in the dead center between Minneapolis and St. Paul. There was a bakery called "A Taste of Scandanavia", I have yet to visit and see what it is about! Finally, I experienced heartburn for the first time. I suppose pizza on Friday for lunch and dinner, and cheesburger with fries and a malt the next night is screaming "Heart Attack when your 50", eh? That's ok, I'm back to normal eating patterns again and I don't regret the delicious food I ate last week, especially since I stepped on the scale this morning and LOST TWO POUNDS. Pffft.....good day!
