The Crusader Project

My Dad has worked on the Crusader project for the past ten years.  The Crusader was to be a self propelled howitzer (basically artillery).  Unfortunately, the project was cancelled by the Army in 2002.  The Crusader was capable of firing ten times per minute and could achieve a max range of 40 kilometers (25 miles).  One of it's main technilogical advantages was that it could perform MRSI (Multiple Round Simultaneous Impact, pronounced mercy) missions.  A MRSI mission was when Crusader fired a number of rounds (up to six)  and they all hit the target at the same time.  Its fast rate of fire,  MRSI missions, and deadly accuracy allowed a battery of Crusaders to strike quickly and effectivly before any resistance could be organized.
