Well they are sorta wrong that the people don't get paid ennough, but I think at the sametime that they are somewhat good, because without them families wouldn't be able to make as much (even with the extremely low wages) and that they may even die.
Sweatshops maybe benicial to the majority of developed western countries (ie. Canada, United States , United Kingdom Etc.) but what about the areas of the world that are affected negatively? Not only are these children and adults living in third world nations working in sweatshops for very little pay, they are also subjected to the worst kind of inhumane treatment. They are beaten for errors, given little to eat, work with dangerous highly corrosive chemicals without any protection, and the people who try and start a union are sometimes assassinated. Sweatshops are a horribly plague on the earth. Contrary to popular belief, they aren't always in third world nations either.

A few years ago, sweatshops exploiting hispanic immigrants were discovered in Los Angelos, and were found to be making Disney material, how about that? The leader in children manufacturing is exploiting children in the name of Capitalism. What a beautiful society we live in!

Sweatshops take us back to our recent history, where workers had no rights or laws to protect them, and thrust that horrible injustice upon the rest of the globe.

If you honestly care less about your bank account and more about the social rights of the rest of the world, then you'll start purchasing union clothing and stop using such RIDICULOUS excuses as " theres nothing I can do" or "Its not happening to me "

Just because we live in such a very preveledged area of the world  doesn't mean we can ignore the rest of the globes plight to make our lives easier.
