A village in the Alps, from the window of our train from St. Gallen to Lugano




On March 12, 2000, we went to St. Gallen, Switzerland, to visit Julie, who was taking her second semester of junior year at the slsljgalsaks as an exchange student.

This is Switzerland

St. Gallen, in the northeastern part of the country, is the Switzerland we expected:

great buildings,

great chocolate,

and great beer!

Lugano is in southern Switzerland, on the border with Italy.

We boarded a train in wet, cold St. Gallen and, four hours later, got off the train in dry, warm Lugano.

Different weather,

different language,

same country!
