The Final Touches

Questions You Should Be Able to Answer About Your Character
1. How does the character feel about his or her family?
2. Where are they and what do they do?
3. Is your character religious? Which doctrine? What are the beliefs? (most religions survived only through history text. Most people are not "religious" in a modern sense. Philosophy has risen to a position of import once again though.)
4. Where are you now? What are your near future plans?
5. Where have you been? How did it affect you?
6. What are your priorities in life? Love, adventure, money, reputation, survival, exploration?
7. What do you look like?
8. What is your characters perspective on the universe? (open ended eh? =)
9. Any mannerisms? Habits?
10. Who do you hate, what do you hate, what do you admire?

A short, short list of worlds. (human attribute modification refers to humans born on the planet or under similar gravity)

New Canaan
Gravity 1.09 standard, attribute modification: none.
Population-5 million humans, 3.5 million centaurs, .2 million Sandlings, .7 million Kentaurans (mostly refugees), and more than ten thousand known AI's.
New Canaan is the center of human "Insiders." It has a wide mix of races. There are very few laws and the society is predominately Libertarian. (for info on modern day American Libertarianism go here: LP.org) Technology level is high and military is small and very high quality. Governed by "Proxy Council," actually direct constitutional Democracy. Nearest systems, Lus: no inhabitants 6LY.

Incondat
Gravity 0.34 standard, attribute modification: -2 strength, -2 stamina, +3 Dexterity.
The largest moon in the New Canaan system. Population is 2/3 centaur and 1/3 human. It is highly industrialized and its lack of atmosphere and low gravity make it the perfect spacecraft construction facility. Government is extension of New Canaan. The moon orbits the gas giant Altia
Fomalhaut
Monelbi
The home-moon of the Kentauran species. .4 standard gravities. Human attribute modification: -2 strength -1 Stamina +2 Dexterity. Population 100 million Kentauran. .1 million Human, .05 million Centaur. Highly industrialized. Large military forces of average quality. Tech level isn't quite New Canaan's but is high. Head of Kentaurus Pact military alliance in the reunification wars.
Syfola
Syfola is a large Kentauran planet. Its culture has become very militaristic during the last two centuries of conflict with the Kentaurus pact. It is head of the Syfolan Alliance. Population 2 billion Kentaurans. .05 Human, .01 Centaur. Technology is advanced, but below Monelbi. 1.2 Standard gravity. Human attribute modification +2 Strength, +2 Stamina -1 Dexterity.
Sineb
The most advanced planet of the known species. Sineb is neutral in the reunification wars and remains so because they have the numbers and technology to keep the Kentaurus Pact from seriously considering drawing them into things. They are isolationist and secretive. The entire system is developed, much like Sol used to be (but as usual Kentaurans tend to need more room and populations are lower). Population ? At least 5 billion Kentaurans. No others known.
Garden
The home planet of the Sandlings. Garden is a desert world. Think, Australian Outback. Gravity 1.3 standard. Human attribute modification +3 Strength +2 Stamina, -2 Dexterity, -1 speed. -2 Beauty. Populations 250 million sandlings, 1 million Kentaurans, .1 million humans, .05 million centaurs. Technology is 19-20th century Earth. Sandlings were beginning their industrial revolution when The FLeet found them.
Gryis
A largely water covered Kentauran world. This middle ages culture is undergoing odd turmoil from being forced into the Kentaurus pact and having modern technology introduced into primative societies. The cultures are very tribal as half the total land area on the planet is in island chains. This planet is home to a native plant known to Kentaurans as bloodvine, it is a powerful hallucinatory drug for Kentaurans. Gravity .8 standard. Human attribute modification -1 Strength -1 Stamina +1 Dexterity.

Fanebsen
The system was first encountered by The Fleet near the end of their travelling. It's forty light years from New Canaan, rimward, and is home to the remnants of a dead and advanced civilization that built the asteroid from which The Fleet learned the locations of the Sandling homeworld, and several Kentauran worlds. The second planet is inhabited, and evolved from microscopic life carried from the third world to the second by a piece of ejecta, after an asteroid impact. For this reason the old civilization of the third world seemed to be fond of those on the second and it seems there are satellites in orbit around the second world, far too advanced for this early farm culture, which fire on ships headed toward the planets surface.

This list is just getting started. There are hundreds of stations in L4's and L5's scattered across a hundred light years and at least seven or eight more highly populated planets.
