Elizabeth Ward's Website (under construction)
Hello, I am Elizabeth Ward from Huddersfield, Yorkshire, UK.

I first met my husband David on the internet in February 2001 on a Christian-Muslim debate list.  One thing led to another and we got married on October 6th 2001.   He was 53 and I was 38 and neither of us had been married before, both of us thought we would always be single but evidently the Lord had other ideas so we didn't argue!

We come from very different church backgrounds: I was brought up as an Anglican and spent most of my life in the Evangelical/Charismatic wing of the Church of England, though for six months i went to Mount Zion Baptist church in Cardigan which I loved (yes, I used to live in Wales!)  David's background is "brethren" but he got saved in a Cathedral, work that one out!  We are now attending the Gospel Hall in Skelmanthorpe.
I included this picture just because I like it.  I used to go on CYFA-Pathfinder ventures as a leader and one year we went on a river cruise and I was lucky enough to take this picture. It was taken on either the river Orwell or the river Stour in Suffolk (I lost track of where we were!)  Ventures are a super operation of the CY (formerly CYPECS) part of the Church Pastoral Aid Society (Evangelical Anglican)  Click the picture to find out all about ventures!

I would love to contact anyone who was a leader on the Felixstowe Explorer Venture between about 1982 and 1992, or on the Uckfield Explorer-Pathfinder Venture from about 1986 to 1990.  I was Liz Hamerton then. Anyone who happens to see this site who is in this category, or who would just like to chat about ventures (sorry but I am not in a position to join any teams now) do please
