Rick stared into the middle distance.
Evie was beginning to annoy him. Thank goodness her brother was along
for the ride. Sure he couldn't translate those hieroglyphs quite as
quickly as his little sister, but boy those eyes.
And that cute little butt.Rick bit his lip as he thought about it.
His daydreaming was interrupted when Evelyn and her camel sidled up to
him.
"Mr O'Connell, " she said, "I've been looking over this papyrus and I think
there may just be more undead warriors around ready to come alive and
tear our hearts out. And I think they may very well be a bit miffed that
we're the sort of people who want to send them back to the underworld."
God the woman was annoying. Couldn't they just grab the treasure, ignore
the inscriptions and get some sex in Cairo.
Yes that was why he'd been
condemned to death when Evie and her delectable brother found him - but
he'd just have to be more careful this time.
It was hard to believe those two had the same parents. Evie was so
highly strung and her brother was so languid. Every time Rick looked at
him he thought 'sex'.
Only they hadn't had the chance do actually do
anything about it yet, what with being chased around by a mad mummy.
Although now Rick came to think about it he was kinda cute. In fact if
he hadn't already lost his heart to Evelyn's funny little brother, Rick
might have been quite taken with Imhotep. Nice ass - a bit dessicated to
start with but once it started to fill out a bit - woah. Pity he'd been
so obsessed with his dead girlfriend.
Rick's eyes focused as Jonathan's camel overtook him, the sight of his
ass undulating as the animal tried to throw him was too much. He sighed
deeply.
Evie's whining drew Rick out of his daydream.
"So you think we should go back to find them?"Evie said.
Not knowing what on Earth the woman was talking about - having heard
nothing after 'underworld' Rick felt compelled to say something.
"Yes I think you might be right." There that'd throw her - she wouldn't
expect agreement from him.
The camels carrying Rick and Evie drew level with Jonathan.
"Oh, I was wondering when you'd get here," Jonathan said cooly.
"Jack thinks we should go back to make sure Imhotep is really dead,"Evie
said.
"What?" Jonathan and Rick said simultaneously.
Rick recovered himself. "Now look - I never said that - what do you
think I'm mad?"
"No I just think you weren't listening. I was testing that's all."
Jonathan laughed, "Oh touché Evie."
"What I really asked, Rick, is could we go back to pick up those
interesting stones with the cartouches inscribed on them?"
"What stones?"
"Didn't you see them? They were really quite impressive."
"I think we should just keep going until we reach civilization," Rick
said. He turned his camel and started to ride away.
Evie and Jonathan hung back to admire the view.
"I say - nice arse on our American friend don't you think?"
"Absolutely," Evie answered dreamily.
"I heard that," Rick called back. He couldn't resist a smile.
