The Story of Elyzabeth Musser and Gene Clark
This is to be a sharing of the autobiography I am writing about Gene Clark and myself. It'll be in suprts and flashes at first...I've got close to 40 years of stuff to remember; all those adventures. Gene and I met when I was nineteen years old, and he was 20. Below, is a picture of us, a didgital image. We were lovers, for a short time, beginning in March 1966 (I was 20 and he was 21), through summer 1968; we were very young. That's a long time ago by now, and I did not get to have any pix taken of us then. So here is an illustration to my story. How I miss him!

Aware, articulate
Talking, playing, singing
Guitar, songs--movements, feelings
Beautiful, dancing

I got drunk on that cheap wine
You bought that night
That much I know for sure...
I also remember
Lying on the living room floor
With you...
We were side by side
Talking and laughing
About almost everything
Having so much fun
And in complete harmony...
Later, we roasted marshmallows
On forks
Over your stove burners...

Lady and Consort
Visions and feelings
Musings, longings, wonderings
Passions
Love rising in my soul
From the very core
Eternal, not-ever dying...
Even though it goes
Through its changes

Cycles of the Triple Queen
He is Her mate
She is His mothere-sister-lover
They are one, they intertwine
They are united and separate
At the same time...
She is Elyzabeth
He is Eugene

Clark's Poetry to Musser
Gene dedicated the song Something About You Baby (from his Firebyrd album) to me, when he played, one of many times, at the Caspar Inn, in Mendocino County, California...November 1983.
