On the April 25th1997, the Scout Troop hosted the John Myles Friendship Camp. This Camp was attended by a number of Local Troops and is hopefully the start of more Friendship Camps to come.
At this Camp the Scouts were totally self contained but received help from thier Leaders when they needed it.
The Purpose of this Camp was to promote the Friendship between Scouts from different Troops and allow the leaders to get together, have fun and network.

Our End of Year Camp on June 28, 1997 was at Rockwood Conservation Area near Guelph. This is a joint Camp between the Scouts and Cubs and is when we do our Going Up Ceremony for the Cubs.
It is going to be another busy year at the 17th. Our First Camp was on October 4, 5, & 6 th.
This Camp is at Glenn Haffy Conservation Area, the Bruce Trail goes through here and we plan on going on a few hikes...
