Tiny vision that you are I await your arrival. I dream of the day that the Lord will grace my eyes with the love my heart already holds. Curiosity fills my mind for your features. Will you have your mother’s eyes or Perhaps your father’s smile? As God creates your characteristics, I imagine your later days… A time when storybooks and lullabies will fill rainy afternoons. With you curled up in my lap and my arms to hold you close You shall drift of to your land of dreams.
And as years pass by I shall be so fortunate to see each strong and unique trait Which shall become you, the adult.
Then I shall remember the days long ago when you were a babe.
When you were tiny and new With those gentle hands that curled around my finger. A quiet little coo that I knew to be my child’s voice. Strange to think that now I dream of the wondrous days ahead To eventually recall these days of dreams.
But as both shall pass I will always think of that blessed day
When the Lord chose to make me this… Your Mother
THE WHISPER OF A CHILD
Author Unknown
A child's love is like a whisper
Given in little ways we do not hear
But if you listen closely
It will be very clear
They often do not say it loud
But in how they come to you...
Daddy, will you play with me?
Mommy, tie my shoe?
The many ways they tell you
Changes as they grow
Dad, I made the team today
Mom, I've got to go!
Pop, I need some money
You see there's...this girl at school
Mama, I met a boy today
and wow, he's so cool.
Dad, I've got something to tell you...
I think she is the one!
Mom, he asked me to marry him
Would you love him as your son?
Dad, I've got some news for you...
It's going to be a boy!
Mom, I'm kind of scared of this
Yet I'm filled with joy!
A child's love is like a whisper
Given in little ways we do not hear
But if you listen closely
It will be very clear.
They often do not say it loud
But in how they come to you...
Grandpa, will you play with me?
Grandma, tie my shoe?
It is never ending
A blessing from above
Listen to the whispers of a child's love.
LITTLE HANDS
By Wendy Lyn
Sometimes I might upset you
Because I am so small.
I always leave my fingerprints
On the furniture and the wall.
But everyday I'm growing up
And soon I'll be so tall,
That all those little fingerprints
Will be hard for you to recall.
So smile when you wipe these fingerprints,
Because when I'm grown and tall,
You'll have to close your eyes to see,
Just how little my fingers were
That time when I was small.
A CHILD TO LOVE
Author Unknown
You can have your wealth and riches...
All the things so many seek,
Position, power, fine success,
The fame you long to keep.
You can earn so much you wish for,
Reach a status high above,
But none of these can equal...
Having one sweet child to love.
'Tis the greatest gift from heaven,
Little arms that hold you tight,
And a kiss so soft and gentle
When you tuck them in at night.
A million precious questions
And each story often read,
Two eyes so bright and smiling,
And a darling tousled head.
God can never match the goodness
Of a trusting little face,
Or a heart so full of laughter
Spreading sunshine every place.
A child to hold and cuddle,
'Tis a gift from God above,
And the world is so much brighter
When you have a child to love.
SEND THE CHILDREN TO BED WITH A KISS
AUthor Unknown
Oh, mothers, so weary, discouraged,
Worn out with the cares of the day,
You often grow cross and impatient,
Complain of the noise and the play.
For the day brings many vexations,
So many things go amiss.
But, mothers, whatever may vex you,
Send the children to bed with a kiss.
The dear little feet often wander,
Perhaps from the pathways of right.
The dear little hands find new mischief
To try you from morning 'til night.
But think of the desolate mothers
Who'd give all the world for your bliss.
and as thanks for your infinite blessings,
Send the children to bed with a kiss.
For some day their noise will not vex you.
The silence will hurt you far more.
You will long for the sweet childish voices,
For a sweet childish face at the door.
And to press a child's face to your bosom,
You'd give all the world just for this.
For the comfort t'will give you in sorrow,
Send the children to bed with a kiss.
AS I GROW...
By Helene Rothschild
Please...Understand that I am growing up and changing very fast. It must be difficult to keep pace with me, but please try.
Listen to me and give me brief, clear answers to my questions. Then I will keep sharing my thoughts and feelings.
Reward me for telling the truth. Then I am not frightened into lying.
Tell me when you make mistakes and what you learned from them. Then I can accept that I am OK, even when I blunder.
Pay attention to me, and spend time with me. Then I can believe that I am important and worthwhile.
Do the things you want me to do. Then I have a good, positive model.
Trust and respect me. Even though I am smaller than you, I have feelings and needs just like you.
Compliment and appreciate me. Then I'll feel good, and I'll want to continue to please you.
Help me explore my unique interests, talents and potential. In order for me to be happy, I need to be me, and not just someone you want me to be.
Be an individual and create your own happiness. Then you can teach me the same, and I can live a happy, successful and fulfilling life.
A handshake, A smile, A hug or a huddle,
none feel as good as a child to cuddle.
when they are cold from falling in a puddle,
pick them up, dry them off, then give them a cuddle.
A cuddle has many reasons its used, It can mend a broken heart of someone abused.
The love it will bring, you will never lose.
From now til forever your hearts will be fuzed.
You can cuddle a child, who cuddles a bear,
You can cuddle for love most any where.
To cuddle you need at least one pair, and most important you need feelings to care.
So open your arms, your heart and your mind,
Find a child to cuddle and their you will find,
A love so gentle, so caring and kind,
It shall always remain in your heart, soul and mind!

Love is like a child playing in the wind that never has to worry about hte time to spend. To love is to be loved and to be loved once again.
As the children frolic in the wind, love is where its always been...
