Principal's Message

Maria de los Angeles Friedrich

Welcome to Oak Hill Middle School online! In the more physical world, we are located in northern California, about 100 miles northeast of San Francisco, nestled in a sweet valley where the air is clear and the hills are gently rolling and covered with oaks, pines and chapparal. For more information on our county, check these pages.

Our goal at Oak Hill Middle School is for all students to achieve academic success to the highest of their potential and to become citizens who live, work, contribute to and compete in an ever-changing society.

Our students will be capable learners who achieve academically and enjoy the excitement of learning. They will be self directed, confident, and responsible individuals who are caring and sensitive to the needs of others. They will perform well in our changing, high tech world and will actively contribute to their community.

In order to accomplish this goal, our school will be a place that provides and continuously promotes educational excellence, a place where all students explore and find the best in themselves. Oak Hill will be a safe, neighborhood beacon, welcoming all who come through its doors. Our school will be filled with skillful, caring staff members who are deeply committed to young people.

Oak Hill's parents will be active partners in their children's education. They will encourage their children to become quality learners by supporting them in their academic and extracurricular endeavors. Oak Hill parents also will be lifelong learners who are interested in improving themselves and their parenting skills.

Our community and regional partners will join with us to support educational excellence within our schools and throughout the community. Together with business, higher education, community residents, agencies and government, we will prepare our students for life and work in an ever-changing society.
