The Enchanted Forest has three primary awards that are given to homesteaders for the web page achievements. Here they are, listed in order of ranking.
Royal Nod Award. The Royal Nod Award is an award that I, as a Community Leader, may give to any homesteader/site that I choose to. This award is based on a Community Leader's own personal judgment. It represents the fact that the Community Leader feels that the homesteader is doing a good job. I *LOVE* to give out this award, and all I look for is a great start to your homepage with no broken links! If you would like this award (or any awards), please, please, PLEASE make sure there is a valid email address on your page!!! I have issued many, many Enchanted Forest Nods to homesteaders that have been returned because the email address is no good. So make sure you can receive it!!
Royal Nod Award Winners In Enchanted Forest
Award of Excellence. This award has two parts and is voted on by the Award of Excellence Committee. If you would like to try to win the Award of Excellence, you submit your site to the committee for review, and then the committee checks your site based on the voting guidelines.
The Award of Excellence is an award for sites that are "above the majority". Your site MUST meet ALL of the voting guidelines.

If your site does not win an award, you may improve upon your page and resubmit any time after a one month waiting period.
If a committee member feels that your site is good, but could use improvement, needs MINOR corrections, but is headed in the right direction to possibly receive the Award of Excellence in the future, then will recommend the
"Striving For Excellence Award"

And now for the newest addition to the Enchanted Forest Awards family ~ the "Stars Of The Forest Award". This award is for the "Best of the Best" in the Enchanted Forest. It is one step down from a Featured Page. This is how it works.
When you submit your site, it is handed over to a panel of 10 committee members to be voted on using personal judgment and the voting guidelines. Each individual casts a yes or no vote. For every yes vote your site gets, it gets a "star". These stars are placed on a color coded bar
to be displayed preferably on the top of your main page.
One thru four stars are on a burgundy colored "star bar", and this is the only thing that a 1-4 star site will receive when voting is complete. Five thru 10 stars are on a dark blue "star bar".
Once your site gets five or more stars, you will also receive the "Shooting Star Award" to show that you are shooting towards stardom.
Once your site receives 10 stars you will get the 10 star, star bar and the "Stars of the Forest Award". If your site is not already featured, the committee will then submit it to the Feature Page committee for review.
