A lot of my homesteaders sign up for a homepage and then think, "Now What?". Do you wonder what to put on it ~ like what is my theme? What do I want the world to know about me?
Don't feel bad. Everyone does that. I did, and now I am webmaster for 13 sites!
Our family site was easy ~ I wanted it to be about the family. Who we were, what we were involved in as a family, and the ideas started flowing.
After I got the family site developed, I discovered that all of us had our own interests, too. I believed strongly in a lot of women's issues, and it was a lot of fun branching off from the family site to make my own site. Then other members of the family wanted THEIR own site. They tell me what they want on it, and I create it.
In order to get started, think about what you're interested in. Sports? Beanies? Music? Television? School? Pooh? Do you collect anything? After you decide what you want your theme to be, do a search on your subject. There is TONS of information on the superhighway!! Put some interesting links on your page that will direct others to explore your interests further.
