JOE CAMEL
The X-Ecutioners
reviews
Hello, my name is Joe, Joe Camel.  You migt remember me from some ads in your Playboy magazine.  I was the guy pushing the cigarettes... no, not the damn cowboys, i mean the CAMEL cigarettes.  I let Endre use my image in this site because i am no longer a trademark of the company, and its not like hes mnaking any money off of this anyways.  What a freak.  Anyhow, Endo asked me to review this album, "Built From Scratch" by the X-Ecutioners.  I said, smoooth.
Now, i had heard the singe, "Its Goin Down" and the radio, and i must admit, i liked it.  It had a cathy little beat and pretty good guitar riff on the loop.  Admittedly, I, as well as all other celebrities Endre knows, dislike Linkin Park immensly.  But i can stand that song, and with this in mind i popped the CD into the stereo with high hopes.

High hopes, that were to be dashed.

You see, this CD is one of those "the hit sounds nothing like the rest of the CD" CDs.  The rest of the CD was all rap and fancy DJ work.  And while i admit, there is nothing wrong with that, it was not what i had bought the CD for in the first place.  Its hard for me to get out to Tower on a weekend, i am, after all, a retired animated spokesperson.  So when i do get new CDs, i expect them to be what i want, and not some obscure fascade.

Should you spend your hard earned money on this CD?  If you like rap, and DJing, then yes.  If you like "Its goin Down" and have $20 to blow willingly, sure, why not.  But if you want some rock/rap hyrbrid stuff for your bucj, might i suggest something else, like 40 Below Zero, or 3rd Strike.  Yes, i am merely a cartoon, but i get around.
