						Our Mission
						Children of Hope is a Christian ecumenical community started by Jean-Marie Raouf Dahan in January 1992. The association has been registered as a non profit organization with the provincial government of Quebec in Canada during July 1993. The spirituality of the community has its origins in the charismatic renewal and in the covenant communities. We mention especially the communities of ‘The Sword of the Spirit’ . Our aim is to build a covenant community. This community being the backbone of a movement which may have more members. We insist on a personal conversion followed by a conversion of the whole family to the message of the Gospel of Jesus. The approach is Trinitarian and is not restricted to a Christology as is often the case in the west. We try to build relations among our members similar to the relations found in an ordinary human family. We are not looking to having many activities. After a training phase, relations among members are cemented by a covenant to the community. We are presently trying to build relationships with communities in the area:  'The Servants of God' and 'Pueblo Unido en Cristo' in Ottawa, 'Jesus the good Shepherd', 'Light of Life' and 'Servants of God's Love' in Toronto, within the broader framework of the association of covenant communities: 'The Sword of the Spirit' .  The community is under the protection of St Philomena.
