The Social Action Committee is responsible for creating programs to address issues that need action to be taken by the congregation. Whether it is forming a protest, planning a recycle drive, working to raise moeny for a local community organization working for change or to improve some aspect of the community, all the way to working with other organizations and religious groups to bring attention to problems in the community and voicing them, standing up for injustice, and much more.

Compassionate Communication Course in Enid
The Enid UU and members of the Enid UCC congregation: CrossWalk United Church, are working to bring the Compassionate Communication course to Enid (also known as Nonviolent Communication). See the link to learn more.

Coats Being Collected
We are collecting coats for those in need of them. If you have any coats that you are no longer needing we ask that you please donate them to the Coat Drive

Recycle Program
All members are encouraged to bring the things they wish to recycle with them for the recycle program. We will set up a specific day when you can bring these items which the Enid UU will then take to the local recycling center. We will do our part to take care of Earth while also perhaps earning a small bit of money for the congregation to us. Also if you have materials that you are no longer using please let others know because there may very well be people who can use them thus "Reduce, Recycle, and REUSE" at work.
