I really wish we had some kind of social activities outside of the bar to go to. I'm not old enough to drink and I'd like to be able to spend time meeting others like me without age restrictions on the place where they hang out.

I think the fact that Enid fails to have a bar for gay and lesbians is because of the lack of support the bar receives. Just because it doesn't serve liquor doesn't mean that you can't go and support it while its serving beer and sodas. It takes money to get the liquor license and if people would just be supportative of the bar in its beginning then it can get the money to get that liquor license and be the kind of bar and club people keep saying Enid needs. But the local community isn't united and I think they're too selfish to realize a great thing when it happens or how difficult it really is to start a gay owned and friendly business here because of them. It's no suprised we lost Shalene's!

The Calendar is so helpful in knowing when things are going on and the fact that I can add events helps me get the word out for other things you all may not know about other. I like the community calendar and you should list it elsewhere not just on this site!

The United Church of Christ is one denomination that gets it. They are willing to take a stand on the issues that really face people and to not spend time judging them or talking about them like objects. They see the wholeness of a person not just the labels. I am so glad to learn there is a UCC church here.

I want to say kudos to CrossWalk United Church. It is awesome to see committed Christians starting an open and affirming church in Enid. It's so daring. I just hope more gays and lesbians and bisexuals and transgenders will find this great place!

It's hard to believe Enid has all these groups here. The one strange thing is to go to a PFLAG group and see a lot of gays and lesbians there, but very few parents or straight allies. I really hope that parents out there that need a group like PFLAG will realize that it exists and start coming. It's strange to be one of the few straight allies in the room, but I'm there and hope others will come, too. It's still great to see that gays and lesbians realize that this is a group for them, too.

The Cathedral of Hope is part of the United Church of Christ and their show airs on PEGASYS. Do we have a Cathedral of Hope here in Enid? Is the UCC church mentioned here the same one that broadcasts the Cathedral of Hope stuff on PEGASYS?

I really like the People section of your online newspaper. I think its a neat idea. I hope to learn a lot about the people here making a difference for people like me.

Wow! I wished I lived in Enid or was closer and was able to be a part of some of the things that are going on. You are so lucky to have places to go and be with others. It's so lonely here.

Thanks to groups like PFLAG I am able to meet other gay guys and girls living here in Enid, too. I was really surprised when I was told we had a group like PFLAG or any gay group here in Enid. I am glad to have learned about this group.

Not being a Christian and being gay are two things that make you feel alone in Enid. It's great to see a place like the Enid UU start up here. Finally I have a place to go where I won't be judged by my sexuality or my spirituality

Thanks. Thanks. Thanks.
