To Daddy:
Look at my Daddy Enrique when he was two years old! He was at a resort near "La Cantuta", a national university campus up the river Rimac from Lima... Chosica and Chaclacayo are small towns in the vecinity... they are quaint and still nice to visit! The Navy Club and other social clubs are close by...
Dadday Enrique six years of age... looking a bit sad...  He hated bow ties, I can tell!
My Daddy Enrique at five years of age, with his big sister, my Aunt Sandra at seven, holding hands, at their Daddy Abel's office in 1952. My Abuelo Abel worked for International Petroleum Company back then, and American company, and when my Daddy was eight, Abuelo moved to Miami with the whole company for eighteen months. In Miami my aunt and my Daddy attended St. Theresa School, a Catholic school...
Look at my Daddy when he was five! He was cute.... But how did he ever grow into his ears?
The Peruvian Naval Academy ten-member Pistol & Rifle Team with officer in charge.... My Daddy was the fifth cadet left to right... He was a senior cadet and the Academ's Flag Bearer.... a very prized honor for him! In the background is the bust of Admiral Miguel Grau Seminario, Perú's greatest hero, and the dorm building housing over 400 cadets...
Daddy with the Pistol & Rifle Team at target practice... second from left to right... That must have been noisy!
Peruvian Naval Academy Pistol & Rifle Team arriving home in triumph, after breaking South American Military Colegiate Record with F.A.L. rifle... My Daddy Enrique, being carried by jubilant cadets on their shoulders... He's the second from left to right!
My Daddy in Miami at almost nine years of age... My Abuelos Abel and Mary used to take him and my aunts Sandra and Barbara, uncle Felipe, and aunt Claudia to the beach almost every single day! They went to Crandon Park, Miami Beach, and Matheson Hammock! Sometimes they went to Key Biscayne and Venetian Pool in Coral Gables... My Daddy took me and my sisters Erika and Tamara, and my Mama, of course, to these beaches and the pool in august 1996! We loved it! He also took us to Disney World in Orlando!
Daddy Enrique at twelve years of age as a freshman at Markham College, in December 1959, receiving an award for second place in class at the commencement ceremony...  Wasn't he small? He turned thirteen a month later!
Enrique, my Daddy, at 14 years of age, playing with fire? No, not really, he had built a little boiler out of an empty milk can and was using it to power a propeller... somehow, building things like that fascinated him!
My Daddy Enrique as I remember him... this is how he looked when he came to my Mama and I for Christmas 1997... I miss him so! We miss each other very much....
My Daddy Enrique probably in his first year as a Naval Cadet... He was very serious... And he looked it!
My Daddy Enrique in his junior or senior class at Markham College, a primary and secondary school in Lima, in December 1962 or 1963... He's the second boy from the right in the top row! Doesn't he look too young?
My Daddy Enrique with my sisters Erika, Heather, and Tamara, whom he loves, as he does me! More than the whole huge universe!
My Daddy Enrique busy working with a compass on a drafting problem in his cabin, which served as a bedroom and place of study. Four cadets shared each cabin...
Enrique, a senior at the Peruvian Naval Academy, smiling at the end of his naval career at the top of his class, proudly wearing his uniform... He went on to gain admission in Electrical Engineering as a junior at Cornell, Georgia Tech, and Tulane, and as a sophomore at Stanford. M.I.T. offered to consider him for admission as a freshman. He chose Tulane, and earned a B.S. in E.E. and an MBA in four years! He's my Daddy, and I have a right to be proud of him! He's very proud of me!!
My adorable Chloe Rose is how my Daddy Enrique thinks of me! And I deserve it! Someday we'll be together again...
This is my Daddy the way he looked in July 2003, and still does today.... He loves me still and always will!
