How
did you learn the craft?
I started with a fictitious interview to a Monarch, from sixteen century PERU. I was learning how to design web pages in 2003. The experience was rewarding as I saw my own words and how I developed a character from so long ago.
. Then I would start creating a story with him in the plot.
Were any books you read on writing
helpful?
The Conquest of Peru
by William Prescott; One great History writer
of the past. All his research was made being blind and that paid off. He even traveled to Europe and Spain mainly. He had someone read those old manuscripts that some Spaniards dared to put it in their own writing for posterity.
When did you seriously start
to try and sell a manuscript?
Not until this past february. I was fortunate
that Barbara Bauer, my new agent, signed me up in april, God bless
her, she gave me a lot of confidence and always polite as she can be. Since april 2007, Barbara is trying to sell this script; She has over 23 years of experience in the trade.
Even though I might be rejected, I hope to get The right Company one day or perhaps the rigth producer at the right
time with this story.
What is your writing routine?
I write sporadically, due to my work as a Pressman so my days are full. But I write every weekend
between 10 in the morning until late night. You get a little better each day.
Where
do your ideas come from?
Hard
to say. They just seem to come at some point. Not all the
time, but every once in a while the brain clicks in and a
story materializes. There are some interesting periodicals
out there which can stimulate the imagination. Mysteries,
Renaissance, Medieval History, and World Explorer are
just a few that showcase interesting stuff from all over the
World.
Any
hobbies?
Sure. Photography is great, but I haven't been able to do
it in many years. Watch movies is rewarding too, but actually reading movie cripts are better. Book collecting is also a passion. Right
now, my days are consumed with writing and re-writing, not
to mention that I still earn my living as a Presssman.
