National Association to Protect Children: In most states the penalty for an adult who rapes a child is twenty years plus – UNLESS that adult happens to be related to the child – in which case the maximum sentence could be PROBATION. Our children are our Nation's most valuable asset. They represent the bright future of our country and hold our hope for a better Nation. Our children are also the most vulnerable members of society. Protecting them against the fear of crime and from becoming victims of crime must be a national priority.
Funded by a grant from the New Hampshire Department of Justice, this directory is provided to assist victims of crime in locating needed services in their area. There are four ways to locate an agency through this on-line directory:
Susan Maree Jeavons is a survivor of incest, physical and emotional abuse, and the Contributing Editor of Child Abuse and Recovery. Catharsis Foundation encourages survivors to tell, to heal and to raise awareness about child abuse. We are also conducting an on-line research study which obviously requires reaching survivors.
