Febrero 5 : se realizo un magno evento en la prepa popular fresno con una asistencia record de 13.000 personas el cartel ( control machete, gusana ciega, estramboticos, resorte, makina y especimen quienes serian los encargados de cerrar el evento.
Junio 22 : presentan en el barrio de hollywood ca. ( coconut teazer. ) la produccion " buenas noches dios." con un lleno total.
Junio 27 : producciones j.s.c. organizo parte de la gira slam 97 por el interior de la republica, teniendo especimen como abridores de lujo al grupo "luzbel".
Agosto 1 : visitan por 1ra vez el estado de durango con gran éxito, al evento asistieron mas de 1000 personas.
Agosto 3 : termina la gira en la ciudad de chihuahua la cual comenzo en aguas calientes recorriendo un total de 15 ciudades.
Septiembre 5 : celebraron en mexico d.f. su aniversario no. 10 en reunion privada entre amigos y conocidos.
Noviembre 29 : concierto en el salon desvelo se anuncian los ultimos conciertos de especimen en la capital.
Diciembre 11 : sale del grupo el bajista lega ortega, entrado temporalmente el bajista del grupo slamkers .
Diciembre 14 : especimen termina su gira slam 97 tocando en 2 eventos ese mismo dia. ( arena lopez mateos. y auditorio municipal m. ocampo. ) del edo. de mexico.
Diciembre 20 : regresan a tijuana y toman un corto y merecido descanzo.
En toda una decada especimen se habia colocado ya dentro del gusto de miles de seguidores en toda la republica y el extranjero realizado hasta estos momentos, mas de 100 canciones, 10 grabaciones, 43 entrevistas de radio, 4 progamas de televicion, mas 60 ciudades, mas de 500 conciertos y un sin fin de entrevistas en fanzines y revistas de varios paises del mundo.
