Welcome to my movie Review Page.
Personally, I do not trust any of the
movie critics out there. They always
give higher ratings to movies that are
odd, different and done in an artistic
sense. That's fine if you love to
critique stuff but usually I go to
movies to enjoy myself and loose track
of reality. Thus movies that depress me
or try to force me to understand some
hidden meaning bore me!!! Odd is fine if
the movie is good, but if it's just odd
then why should I waste my money.
I don't believe everyone will agree with my
critiques, but that's OK, I don't expect it.
However, if you feel that these ratings fit
in with your own view, then perhaps it will
help you in deciding on which movie to watch
next. That is, if you don't beat me to the
theater. ;)
* NOTE:
==== I will be re-organizing this page into
several sections and the ranking will
also be changed to accomodate for movies
with and without FX and Scenery.
So, keep checking back...

Zoolander
Zoolander... what to say? Hmmm, well it's
funny, goofy but very funny! Ben Stiller
is very funny and makes this movie in his
typical goofy attitude, except that he's
much dumber than usual. I must warn you
that there is a disturbing yet very funny
part in the movie involving two midgets and
Christine Taylor in an orgy scene... Hillarious!
A must see...

Rush Hour 2
Jackie Chain, another one of my favorites. This
movie had it all... laughter, action and a good
plot. I really enjoyed this movie and will most
likely buy it when it is released on DVD. I won't
give anything else away, go watch it, you will not
regret it.

Planet of the Apes
The original planet of the Apes was a classic.
An amazing story was what caused this. This
remake had amazing well done costumes and effects
but it should've stuck to the original story a bit
more, especially for the ending. The ending of this
movie left me very upset and asking far too many
questions. I recommnend you wait until the video
comes out for this one.

Lara Croft: Tomb Raider
Wow baby! I must confess that I'm a fan of
Angelina Jolie so this review may be biased... ;)
Well, the movie really did an amazing job in
imitating the video game. The way she moved, the
filming, the acting and even her appearance were
very well done. The story was a bit exagerated,
but what do you expect if it's so close to the
video game. I recommend you see this movie but
do not expect an amazing well done story. Keep
in mind it's more like the story from a videogame.

Heart Breakers
This movie had a few good parts in it,
mostly these included cleavage shots and
tight dresses... ;)
The movie itself seemed a bit like a copy
of some old classic movies in which some
good looking women try to marry for money
and wealth. Although with alot of funny
parts, this is a movie that you can wait
to see at home on video.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
Very cool movie! This movie is both
for the girlfriend and the boyfriend. The
story is probably oriented more towards the
girlfriend, but the action scenes and other
STUFF is for the guys! Oh yeah! However,
when you go watch this movie, keep in mind
that it is like watching a fable. Very
dream-like scenes. I was very impressed that
I did not see any wires like in other old-style
martial arts movies. Oh yeah, it's subtitled,
so if you do not like reading you better learn
chinese... ;)

The Grinch
Jim Carey is back with yet another hit.
However, this movie is oriented for the
young people... KIDS! It lacks his usual
mature humour (hidden jokes and meanings).
Overall it was a good movie, but too much
child-mentality humour. Still, a must see!

What Women Want
Well, first let me assure you that
this is not the usual Mel Gibson movie.
I was hoping for a bit of violence but
there was none. This is however a good
first date movie. Girls seem to be pleased
with watching Mel Gibson and the guys will
see the humour in several scenes regarding
typical women behaviour. I recomend that you
watch this movie once with your significant
other but I wouldn't invest on buying a copy
later on.

The 6th Day
Arnold! Yes I am an Arnold fan. One of the
first movies I saw in a theater was Twins.
The movie was good. It really reminded me of
Total Recall, though there were no girls with
3 boobs (darn). The story was very interesting,
the acting was alright and the effects were
pretty good. It is a good movie to own (if you
like action movies). I didn't really like some
of the scenes - especially those with the 2 Arnolds
as they looked fake. Well enough said, enjoy the
movie.

Charlie's Angels
Well, let's see. Three good looking girls,
most of the time wearing very revealing clothes,
and multiple scenes of one of them (won't tell
you who - not to wreck the movie) continuously
shaking her butt at the camera. Honestly though,
it was a well done movie except that it could have
been better if they had cut down a bit on some of
the stunts with the girls. I mean, it was very
obvious that they were using ropes throughout most
of the movie which is somewhat disappointing since
they had done so much training to prepare for it.

Meet the Parents
This is a very good date movie. Very
funny. A bit silly, but with various
humurous scenes. The story seems unique
and in a way very real. If you combined all
the horror stories you have heard about
meeting inlaws into one movie, this would
be it. A must see!

The Ladies Man
As most of you probably know, the ladies
man is based on a sketch from Saturday
Night live. The movie is not to bad but
it was a bit boring at times. It has a
fair amount of sexual content (which I don't
really mind). You must be in the right
mood to watch this movie and don't expect
much when you go see it, otherwise you may
be disappointed. I recommend you watch it
once but don't invest on buying the movie.

Gone in 60 Seconds
What can you say about a movie involving
amazing cars, a great story based on cars
and great chases? One word comes to mind:
AWESOME. This movie has a good plot, not
boring, enough action and speed chases to
keep you up on your seats and definately a
must for all you car lovers.

Gladiator
This movie is fairly long and I must say that
it is a definite MUST SEE. The story is fairly
unique when compared to recent movies and the
scenes are very well done. Lots of sword fighting
scenes and the actors are fairly good. I personally
liked this story and although there wasn't much of
a chance for FX in the movie the backgrounds were
very well done.

Center Stage
YACK! Someone shoot me! This movie stunk!
I was forced into it by my girlfriend whom to
this day hears from me about the great horrors
that picture induced on me. Well, for starters
lets just picture it, shall we? - bunch of skinny
women, and men in tights, jumping around to get
a part in some extremely boring dancing festivity.
What really got me upset is that the previews made
the movie look like "Fame". Well, nothing like it!
