Updated info of the lazy, lazy hydra
My links:
Hello! I am lazy hydra (ha, yahoo once tried to get rid of me despite the fact I've done nothing wrong, now I'm back as even lazier hydra!) (er ... let's see how long I can stay here for this time :p), I'm 21, born in Hong Kong and live in UK.  I can't be bothered to create any exciting homepage yet, let's hope it would be better the next time you visit (if it is still here) ... meanwhile you can always contact me with my e-mail address if you want.

Please join a new ICQ group which I set up for overseas students who originally come from Hong Kong! Called the OSHK group, click view to view, join to join (obviously)
My home =P
In my freetime I like listenning to music (classical, however sorry but not JS Bach), playing piano (despite the fact I can't play properly) and violin (emmm let's say I enjoy playing in orchestra, because then I don't have to realise how bad my playing REALLY is), and recently interested in an oriental board game called "go" (it is also called "weiqi" or "baduk") ... and of course I like surfing the web ... (and you probably notice, obsessed with putting brackets after every sentence ... and ... too)
Please try my friend test!
At last I've put my compositions on my page (mp3 files)! Please click on the arrow to check it out.
This is looking more and more like the preparation for the Oral exam few years ago ...
Anyway, either I can't find anything to say about my family or I can talk about it too much ... so basically I've a father, a mother and 2 elder brothers (who, since a very young age, enjoys making me feel ignorant) in my family, simple huh? (no it's not, as a chinese saying correctly points out, each family has their own difficult story - however I won't bore you with the details)
Home sweet home
My friends? They are ... lovely ... (as they should be quite likely to come and see this page, I'd better be more careful with what I say ... oops ...)
Religion:
(help, can't get those title fonts back!) ... ... don't ask me why I haven't bothered about putting my religious beliefs down until now - I guess it's a whole lack of courage and lazy thing which I haven't overcome until now ... (I waffle on and still manage to not say what my religion is, ha)
Ok, I am a Roman Catholic; I was born baptised, and my faith kinda collapsed a few years ago (rooting from sheer laziness of not bothering to go to Church) ... fortunately (though I felt the opposite at first) I happen to go to the same university as my elder brother, and basically he did the impossible task of dragging me to church (on a Sunday morning) again ... a bit later I also had the chance to pop into a Chinese Christian fellowship which got me charged up and strangely enough, got me curious in the Catholic faith again.  As for now, I wouldn't claim that my conversion was particularly miraculous or anything, but at least I'm not afraid to profess and learn more about my faith (such as the apparently monstrous task of opening the Bible) anymore, and I wait for God to perform yet more wondrous tasks on me. Thanks be to God!
Recent News:
I have finished writing the Mass setting at last! Thank Him for that (though not entirely sure if it started off as His will, since the first idea I got was when I got bored of doing differential equations) ... At the moment I haven't recorded it yet, so if you want to listen to it go to Mass at 11 o'clock at Oxford University Catholic Chaplaincy! (Unfortunately they're not singing it anymore ......)
Other stuff: going through tedious process of filling in application forms; Feeling the pressure of being a finalist and, emmm, unemployed; Have to prepare for interviews by reading the FT thus constantly reminding me of a recession.  (update: at last, found one ...)
My prayers and thoughts for the victims of 11th September and of "war on terrorism.; How irritating it is to see bombs ending up killing civilians and to read about people arguing "a lot of them are going to die of starvation anyway even if the US doesn't bomb them".  Hmmm ...
