A GREAT PLACE FOR PERMANENT RV LIVING |
PLEASE TAKE YOUR TIME FOR THIS SITE. HERE IS A LOT OF INFORMATION TO READ. JUST GRAB A MARGARITA OR A BEER, PREFERABLY A MEXICAN ONE AND IF YOU SMOKE, LITE UP A NICE HAVANNA. (oops, up north you can't, it is prohibited) IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GREAT PLACE TO RETIRE OR SPEND SOME TIME IN THE SUN, HERE IT IS. |
We like to keep it small, but spacious. On 2,000 square meter we have only a setup for 10 RV's in different sizes. |
We don't want you to be confined to just a small concrete pad like you find at other places. As you can see later in the graphic, you will have plenty of space not only for your RV, you can plant a little garden, have some tomatoes or flowers and if you are not into gardening, build a huge patio. But important is, you have plenty of room. |
As you see here, you can build your own Palapa to cover the RV and have some shade on your patio and if you are hany, you can do it yourself. Surround it with a hedge if you like, have your privacy or go to the pool and mingle with your neighbors. |
THIS IS YOUR INTERNET HOOKUP WITH HIGH SPEED BROAD BAND CONNECTION Since we don't have a diret phone line in our village, the setup had cost us a fortune. We also pay more than 1,100 Pesos every month for using the airwaves. So, if you like to connect to the internet, we will ask you for a small share of the bill. |
Oh yes, there is a pool too!! And what a beauty it is. We kept the maximum depth at 5.5 feet and there is a big shallow area of just 50 cm 1.5 feet. A couple of steps are leading to the deeper part and they are just great to sit on and have a drink to cool off from the inside too. HA |
When we built the pool, there was a several hundred year old cactus in the way. Since he has more rights to be here than we do, we kept him and build him his own island. Surrounded by flowers and night lights, he is really a beauty now and when he blossom in May, the bees fight with the birds and butterflies about who will get the nectar and pollen at first. HA |
Now here is the graphic to see what it looks like on paper. There are spaces from 64 feet for the "biggie" or two friends who want to stay together, to a smaller camper of 29 feet. We don't want you to drive through the recreation area with a truck, so we have an extra parking lot designed and you won't wake up your neighbor if you leave early in the morning for the fishing trip or come home very late/early. Of course there is a launch ramp too and a fantastic safe anchorage if you want to leave the boat in the water. Oh, and the beach is in about 100 yard. Of course what will interest you is the cost of the lot. It is per square meter $ 39 Dollar per year. So, the smaller lot will be $ 2,983.00 Dollar + tx for the whole year and if you need the huge lot for your "flaggship", it will be $ 5,300 Dollar per year. Pick your lot, grab your calculator and find out how much you have to spend to live in paradise. |
NOW HERE COMES THE BORING PART, BUT IF YOU ARE INTERESTED, YOU MIGHT WANT TO READ IT TOO. |
There are many people who don't want to buy a property or a house to live down here in the sunshine to retire, or just want to have a place to stay when they come several times a year for fishing, diving or just for a change. Since the weather is so fantastic here, you really don't need much and you will be most of the time outside anyway. You have the right to rent your RV to friends from up north if you are not here, so it will pay for your investment. But most likely you are already retired or will be in a short time and you can spend the winter down here and during the summer you can pester the children, spend a couple weeks at the daughter's, another few weeks with the son's and ruin the grandchildren, like your parents did. But you also can spend the summer here too and trust us, it is beautiful and not as hot as some people want you to believe. The climate is typical desert climate with warm but totally dry days and cool nights. Even in August the night temperature will be in the lower to mid 60th and at daytime we will be in the upper 80th, rarely up to the lower 90th by 0% to 10% humidity. Of course you can run the aircondition in your camper, since you will have 50Amp or 80 Amp power. Talking about power: You will have your own meter from the CFE (power company) in your name. No, we don't charge you for power like other places do, it is your bill and you have to take care of it. But here is the great advantage: With an official electric bill, you have proof of residency. This means, you can apply for emigration papers. With the FM 3 you can join the Seguro Social. The health insurance will cost you for 2 people about $ 350 Dollar for the whole year by FULL coverage of hospital and medication. Yes, you are reading right!! And the health care is really fantastic here. Only the money you safe on your health insurance pays for the living down here. You also will have your own water meter and the water is absolute clean drinking quality. For your banking or checking the "naughty sites" is the high speed wireless internet connection. Bring your Dish Network receiver from home. We have two antennas for the Sattelite 110 and 119 set up and you can watch US TV down here if you like. You also can get an FTA receiver and have all 500 + stations in the clear for free if you want. No, we don't charge you for the TV. You only pay for the cable setup and connectors, that's it. If you are handy, you can do the connection yourself. We where ask already several times if there is the possibility to bring down a Mobil Home or construct a small casita at the lot. This is no problem, but you only can build a Palapa, according to the law. Have a look at the Hacienda site to see what a Palapa looks like. If you are handy, you even can build it yourself if you want. Since we are such a small setup and like a family, we want to make sure everybody is compatible. Sure we have some rules and regulations and if you are interested, we like to e-mail them to you. It is nothing special and out of the ordinary and the most important rule is friendship and common sense. If you are interested to know more, just drop us an e-mail. |

We have now build a nice Palapa at the patio, so you can come together there with the other guests and change stories. Since there are no walls to restrict your arms you can show how big the fish was you caught last time. HA |
