Education through Science and Design
http://vygotsky.berkeley.edu/se/SandSeminar/welcome.cgi
Technology is a prominent component of design
experiments. This is partially an opportunistic situation. Computer technology
has only recently made design experiments feasible in terms of allowing for the
easy collection of rich data from complex settings, facilitating the analysis
of that data, and making innovative learning technologies possible. Technology
enables design experiments mainly through providing an adaptive and powerful medium.
Technology affords new instructional goals and practices, support for different
forms of learning, mechanisms for distributing curricular innovation,
computational models of cognition, and more.
