What is the Grange?
The Grange is officially known as the Order of Patrons of Husbandry, founded in 1867 inspired by a desire to solve problems engendered by the War Between the States. Today, it is a suburban/rural family fraternity organization.
What is a Pomona Grange?
The Pomona Grange is an organization consisting of members of Subordinate Granges in a geographic area. Our Pomona covers Fairfield County Connecticut. A Subordinate Grange is a local Grange, the basic unit of the organization.

A message from the Grange to our neighbors
Welcome to the Fairfield County Pomona Grange #9 website! Contained in this website is information that you will find useful and informative about our Pomona Grange as well as the Subordinate Granges in Fairfield County that make up our Pomona. Grange members in good standing who have received the 5th Degree, or higher, of the Order of Patrons of Husbandry are welcome to attend Pomona Grange meetings.  We confer the 5th Degree twice during the year: once in the Autumn prior to the Connecticut State Grange convention, and once in the Spring.

Fairfield County Pomona Grange #9 has had a long and colorful history, having been chartered in 1895.

If you are looking for a Grange to join, we encourage you to
secure membership in one of our Subordinate Granges. If you already belong to one of the Suborndinate Granges within Fairfield County, and wish to seek the higher Degrees of the Order, we look forward to welcoming you into Fairfield County Pomona Grange #9.
