I almost cried when he talked about the woman he fell in love
with. I would love to burn his toast! And did you see his face
when Bree told the widower she wanted her baskets back? Steven
is so great with facial expressions.
Jeez, he's a good actor! Just his expressions in his first scene
- subtle, but we knew what he was thinking! And very natural in
all the scenes!
SC was great! Facial expressions were perfect, even when he had
few or no lines. And the funny lines he had with Bree were some
of the best comedy lines in the show - salt, detergent commercial,
hair that doesn't move, etc.
And isn't the character of Rex just THE greatest straight
man/comic relief. Every word he says has perfect timing. The
"detergent commercial" comment cracked me up.
We all know how much SC can express with just his eyes, his
expressions. And anyone who didn't know it before certainly
would after that episode.
Rex and a cheesy burrito too! Who could ask for anything more...
Sweet Heaven, is that guy gorgeous or what?
He has just recently proven - again - that his acting alone will
get him our attention and admiration.
Okay, I have to say. I LOVED THE LOOK THAT SC GAVE "TRISH" when
she scooped the news about Maisy. That "STOP THE WORLD AND LET ME
OFF" look :). I can't wait to see what happens next :)
That was a great episode. I loved the Rex and Bree scenes! And that
look that Rex gave Trish was wonderful. Did you noticed Rex and Bree
swallowing during that scene when Trish told them the news about
Maisy? ... very well acted!
Again SC proves to be the master of wordless emotions! I thought the
poor guy was going to hyperventilate after Tish told them the gossip...
he was breathing so quickly I thought he'd pass out!
I think SC's magnificent wordless S.peC.trum of emotion after the battle
to leave the country club dinner table shows NOT that he was a coward,
but that he has an underlying strong love for her in the midst of all of
his confusion, and, knowing how much appearances DO mean to her, he was
willing to aquieS.C.e for HER sake. They are truly "starr-'Cross'ed lovers
at 'cross'purposes with each other - worthy of a Shakespearean dramedy.
I was a little hedgy in the beginning about the show because of all the
hype, but I happen to like twisted metaphors, dark humor, good scripts,
great camera shots, and superior set decor and costuming.
Wow! Watching Desperate Housewives is such a THRILL! I love it more
than any other tv show currently on air! DH is MORE than a guilty
pleasure...it's a fine drama with quality writing, direction & acting.
He acted that beautifully... an after watching a 2nd time, I could see
a sense of relief & love for Bree and her strength come over him as he
sat back down - with a little grin of - ok, I can see this through with
you. What a range of emotion in that short scene... obliviousness (is
that a word? LOL), confusion, realization, embarassment, humiliation, fear,
relief, love - without saying much of anything. WOW!
