Webb Lives. Cont...
After Mac tells Harm about what is going on, he, with the help of P.O. Coates, figures
out what and where Manderlee is. (Webb's grandfather's huge mansion) Harm, Mac, and Simon
go to investigate. While Mac and Simon search inside the house, Harm goes outside to
look around. As he goes around to the rear of the house, he spots someone sitting
on the beach looking out onto the ocean. Harm starts walking toward him.
Back in the house, Simon finds clues that Webb has been there and shows Mac a shirt that
she confirms is Webb's. Simon points his gun at Sarah and admits to her that he is The Hawk
and is there to kill Webb. Soon, we see Webb come into the house with gun in hand. Simon
confronts him with gun on Mac. Harm comes in behind him, but Simon threatens to shoot Mac,
if Harm shoots him. Webb tells Harm to lower his gun. When he does, Simon demands that
Webb tell him everything about this last mission or he will kill both Harm and Mac. Webb
does not tell him anything. Just as Simon is about to shot, a shot rings out and Simon
turns only to be shot again. The camera turns to Porter Webb with gun in hand. She takes
one more shot "to make sure he was dead," she tells her son.
Webb asks Mac to step outside to talk. He tells her he loves her. She slaps him and says
she can't live with his lies. It's over between them and she walks away.
One funny line that fans picked up on was when Mac and Webb were speaking at the end.
She tells him she cannot be a desperate housewife, which the fans think could have been
added into the script as a reference to Steven's new show, Desperate Housewives on ABC.
As always, this was another great performance by Steven Culp as Clayton Webb. While
they still may make reference to Webb in future episodes of JAG, it looks as though
this episode was the last we'll see of Webb. Steven has said that ABC will not allow him
to take part in other shows as long as he is on Desperate Housewives.
So we bid farewell to Clayton Webb. We will remember the good times, but now look forward
to great times with "Rex" on "Desperate Housewives"
