Here are some of my project updates...

Me. Rifle is a Wilderness Rifle Works Mountaineer in .50 cal, iron mounted. The rest is handmade with the exception of the belt and neck pouch knives. (the neck pouch is shown below).

This is a single compartment shooting pouch made from about 6oz. oil tanned cowhide, with Celtic knot button, brass strap buckle and cotton paisley lining. Exterior dimensions are approximately 8" by 8".

This is the interior showing the lining.

I've gotten a beautiful side of oil tanned cowhide. This is a belt pouch I made with Celtic button, red wool lining, and decorative stitching. It turned out very nice, and I may start making them for blanket trading. I plan to follow up with mocassins and a similar style hunting pouch. (Those are my 'gold coins' - Sacajaweha dollars - for comparison).

This is a neck sheath. It is cow-rawhide, wrapped in deerskin, beaded with seed beads. No particular style, just what felt good. The coin in the corner is a US quarter for size comparison.

This is the canvas water bag mentioned on the Muzzle Loader Mailing List. It is 10oz. duck, painted with beeswax. The stopper is oak, wrapped with canvas and a rawhide thong. The bag holds about two (US) quarts.
