Movies/Videos:
Frequency, review by Purple/Stacie
well where do i start!? ok here goes...
the movie i saw is called "Frequency" (rated pg-13) staring Dennis Quad, a
long-dead father, and Jim Caviezel, an adult son who are able to talk across time, during
the aurora borealis, through a short-waved radio. There is gripping drama and heart-felt
emotion found in this time-warping action-thriller. this movie, and iv seen many, kept me
on the edge of my chair the whole time.
i guess thats all i have to say about it. but it was AWESOME go see it TODAY! :D
Mission Impossible 2, review by Krazy Gurl:
What can I say about this movie? I'll tell ya. The action & special effects were
pretty cool. Some moves in the fight scenes were too unbelievable though, which can be a
good or bad thing depending on your tastes. You don't need to see the first movie to
understand it like some sequels. The plot in this was much different than the first.
Instead of discovering a traitor and recovering a disk to save agents, Ethan Hunt (Tom
Cruise) must destroy a deadly virus that could become the next "black plague"
that would affect a continent and perhaps even the world. I wish there were more new
gadgets in it though. Certain parts of the movie were a bit predictable (or maybe I have
esp, but I don't think so). Personally, I preferred the first Mission Impossible (if you
haven't seen that movie yet, I recommend renting it some day). On a 1-10 scale I would
give MI:2 a 9. But, as I've said before "screw the critics and judge for
yourself."
American Psycho, review by Krazy Gurl:
Before I start this review, I must tell you that this movie is not "forest
friendly" (which I'm sure you can tell by the title alone). Anyhoo, here goes.
American Psycho is an R rated movie, so obviously the lil ones should not see this one.
I'll also tell you that this movie is also rated R for more than just violence(yes, you
know what I'm talking about). I'll admit I liked the dark humor in this movie, but I can't
say I liked the whole movie. For one thing, the main character (mr psycho) is a richy guy
who is obsessed with himself & gets angry over little stupid things (in other words,
he's very annoying). I guess if I had to rate this from 1-10, I'd rate it at 6 or 7. If
you like dark humor & R rated stuff, then my motto is "screw the critics and
judge for yourself" hehehe.

Road Trip, review by Zowie
Sending Video mail to your girlfriend at another college is a sweet gesture.......and if
you have friends that will send the tape for you while you are at class, well hey
that'seven better!....................IF they send the right tape. A tape of you and
another girl is in the mail on the way to your girlfriend, what do you do?
You take a Road Trip!
I know you all know me well enough to know my humor is questionable, but this was a flick
where I had to laugh out loud in fear that If I didn't, I would wet the seat. Prices of
movies are crazy these days, but Road Trip is well worth the dough. It's a hilarious story
of a guy that needs to catch up with the postal system in time to save his one true love.
Sorry men, this flick just digs the topic "men are typical, no matter who they
are" into the ground! Women will love it!!!..lol Men, there are parts for you too,
like when Tom Green is telling the story an insists all women talk to each other naked.
*cough*. See It!!
~ Zowie ~
This is Zowie's review of, An Extreme Goofy Movie. It's the
sequel to A Goofy Movie, which my son loved. I have never seen him get up and dance along
with a movie the way he did that one. Obviously, according to Zowie, they've topped
themselves again at Disney.
An Extreme Goofy Movie, review by Zowie
Okay Where in the world do I even start with this five star flick? I am just at a loss of
words. *laughs* Okay , This movie rocked for three very important reason's.
1)Disney- Need I say more?
2) Goofy - He's just a rad dad
3) Maxamillion - Goofy's Ultra Cool Son
What could be better then a story of a son going off to college and a father who can't
quite let go? *don't answer that* Maxamillion is going off to college and Goofy can't
quite handle the fact he will be home alone. Goofy does what any animated father would do,
He goes to college as well. I give this movie "two thumbs up...way up". It's a
crowd pleaser, a tear jerker (so this is a small fib...Oh well) , a goofy love story, and
a comedy all wrapped into one. Buy it today!! *No Disney doesn't pay me for advertising*

The Diamond Throne, by David Eddings, a review by Nosinbk
I read parts of the third novel in this trilogy a few years ago and decided, why not start
at the beginning? It's about a Pandion Knight named Sparhawk who is the Queen's Champion,
and his quest to find a cure for the Elenian Queen, Ehlana. She developed a mysterious
illness and would have died if the Styric sorceress Sephrenia, and twelve Pandion Knights
hadn't cast a spell to encase her in crystal to sustain her life. Until they've found a
cure, each month a different Pandion Knight dies, and when the last one dies, Sephrenia
will die along with Queen Ehlana.
There are a lot of interesting characters and a good plot. I'm not too into Fantasy
Fiction but I liked this one. It had a lot of funny parts and a some suspense also. I'll
be reading the second book, the Ruby Knight, definitely.
Thanks everyone for the great reviews! If anyone has any movie,
book or music reviews they'd like to contribute, just mail them to me at Nosinbk@fbfnews.com and I'll put them up. |
