* This is the offical time listed in the official Kochi JET information. However, at 11:00 the Ino folk want you to be in a special room with all the other driving test takers to fill out paperwork. Thus, it is a good idea to arrive at Ino by 10:00, just so you can get everything done and not rock the boat.
You should be walked through the entire proess by some offical at Ino. They will do their best to make sure you understand what is going on and when to be at point A and when to be at point B

The physical consists of about six questions regarding your general health and ability to use your hands and feet. The eye test is just what it sounds like. If you wear glasses or contacts, expect to do the test once without them, and once with.

The written exam is a piece of cake. 10 true/flase questions in six minutes. They are very easy. "True or false; you must report all accidents to the police." The only challenge is reading through the questions, as the phrasing can be be odd at times. All the road signs you need to know are in the back of the CLAIR JET Diary planner that I hope you didn't throw away.

At 11:00, or so, you will fill out some paperwork and draw to see what course you will drive (more about that in a little). You will have from 12:00 to 13:00 to walk the course and do some mental training. You might have from 11:30 if no one if using the course that day.

At 13:00 you will meet your proctor, do the drive test, and find out the verdict. If you failed, you will be given your offical paperwork to bring back with you next time.
Do not lose it! You can retake the test anytime between Monday and Thursday. Just show up before 11. You would not have to redo the written exam etc.
I assume everyone is really worried about the driving test, as you should be. I have devoted the remainder of this series to the driving test, what it is, and how to pass it. If you have taken the exam and have any words of wisdom to share, please contact me through the Kochi AJET or Hatanet listserves.
