| Kihei is sometimes referred to as the Gold Coast. Kihei's name means cape and is both a residential and resort area. Kihei is on the leeward side of East Maui, and has most of the prime beaches on the island. Because it is leeward, it is a dry and sunny climate. Daytime temperatures range from about 80 degrees during winter, to 90 degrees during summer. |
