Silver Foxes - Squad Profiles
Dan Hoedeman (goalkeeper)
Born: 3.27.81
Birthplace:

Dan Hoedeman

The Silver Foxes No.1 has been in imperious form since his move from the University of Sussex, showing no signs of trouble adapting to the indoor game. Vice Chairman and Gamblor Britton notes, "He is just so hot right now, a hot little potato if you will."

At his best, Hoedeman has few peers in indoor soccer, but the 21-year-old has always had a weakness dealing with one-on-one breakaways.

A confident figure, he has the experience to get the Silver Foxes through the sticky moments that may lie ahead in their Championship campaign.

Brian Coleman (goalkeeper)
Born: 2.6.84
Birthplace: Washington, DC

Highly promising goalkeeper who is regarded as a star of the future, having already played at Chez Hansel in Serie A this season.

The season opener, when he deputised for Hoedeman following a spate of injuries, was a trial for the young keeper as he picked up a sprained ankle in the loss.

Coleman showed his mettle though by battling through the pain to the end of the game, and has showed with his determination and natural skill that he will be one to watch in the future.

Patrick Britton (defender)
Born: 7.20.81
Birthplace: Cleveland, OH

One of the top players at Serie B side Carroll Insurance last season, Britton is a powerful figure at the heart of the Silver Foxes' defence.

Has not always had an easy time since his arrival at Foxes from arch-rivals Holy Cross, but fought off the boo-boys and is focused on winning a Championship in his first season at Chez Hansel.

The softly-spoken Britton is no nancy when it comes to getting stuck in with a tackle.

Samantha Kingsbury (defender)
Born: 10.24.83
Birthplace: Bangor, ME

A young full-back who has quickly established herself as first choice in the Foxes team as boss Dan Hoedeman looks to rebuilds the Silver Foxes defence.

Quick and a real threat in the tackle, she loves nothing more than to shackle one of the league's top strikers. She is a rock upon which many an offense will founder.

A gutsy performer of whom Chairman Hoedeman notes, "she's all heart motherf***er."

Steve Bagdasarian (defender)
Born: n/a
Birthplace: n/a

Party Boy

One of the few new arrivals at Chez Hansel this summer, this defender has settled well into the first team during a period when injuries have hit the Foxes.

Impressed in his Serie A outing during and his calm performances at the back suggest he will be an important man for the Foxes in the months to come.

Bagdasarian's impressive skills will only get better as he gains match fitness.

Tim Berendt (midfielder)
Born: n/a
Birthplace: n/a

A member of the Holy Cross varsity team before injury ended his freshman season, Berendt is a classy midfielder who has proved to be a key component of the Foxes' offensive juggernaut.

A hard-working battler in the midfield, he provides great support to Maura Mastrony and has settled well into the pace of the indoor game.

His extravagant skills and endless running make him an everpresent, whether he is attacking with pace or tracking back and launching into a fearsome tackle.

Maura Mastrony (midfielder)
Born: 9.1.82
Birthplace: Bridgeport, CT

An inspiration behind the Silver Foxes' recent success, Mastrony is a midfielder with few peers in indoor soccer.

The powerhouse in the Foxes' midfield, she failed to inspire Carroll Insurance to the B title last season, but that did not damage her reputation.

Constantly linked with top sides everywhere, she was signed from Carroll in the close season and must be ranked as one of the best players ever signed by the Chez Hansel giants.

Roberto Isch (midfielder)
Born: 2.7.84
Birthplace: Quito, Ecuador

Roberto Isch

Recruited but did not play for the Holy Cross varsity, the Ecuadorean sensation has settled in well to the indoor game.

Man of the Match in the draw against defending champions Worcester Rams, he took no time to settle at Chez Hansel and he is now regarded as one of the best wingers in the game.

With pace and a keen eye for goal, he is vital member of the side and the club's leading scorer in the first third of the season.

Oscar Cantu (forward)
Born: n/a
Birthplace: n/a

The Arizona legend has been lighting up the league in his debut season, despite struggling with a knee injury.

A three year member of the Holy Cross varsity, he is a devastating scorer, but he provides so much more to the team with his brilliant link-up play and intelligent movement.

Always a threat on the ball, he is as skilled a player as you will find in the league, and he routinely makes muppets of three or four defenders at a time just because he can.

Sean Lancey (forward)
Born: 3.21.82
Birthplace: Westwood, MA

Sean Lancey

Regarded by some as one of the most dangerous strikers in indoor soccer, Lancey's pace is an asset few defenders can cope with.

He has added a killer touch to his obvious attributes and that has seen him go from a defender in his time at Holy Cross, to a forward feared by all his opponents.

How to stop him is a dilemma few have found an answer to and he scores the sort of goals others only dream about. If the Silver Foxes are to win the championship this season they will need Lancey to shine.
