| Love Poetry is for girls......... |
| Not that I don't appreciate it, I'm a girl and being on the recieving end of it is a wonderful thing. But It is for girls!!. now I'm not saying that men don't appreciate the attention, I'm sure they do. But the majority of poetry written today is solely for the purpose of men to send to women. As I browse through the endless barrage of websites containing e-cards , love poetry, sonnets and sentiments looking for just the right card to send to my man i realize there is almost nothing that i would want to send. I want to send a card that is simple, honest and sincere. But no, everything is extremely over dramatized, silly and alot of the time doesnt even makes sense. for ex: the first time I looked into your eyes , the dew drops began to shimmer, you have the key to my heart and only you can unlock it, I knew that you were the only one for me, it was destiny, I am yours forever, We are two souls entwined in one, sharing and loving in everything we do, and when I write our names in the sand and the tide of time comes and washes it away its okay because we will still remain because we are strong and we are one and the impression will last forever, we will last forever.I love you NOW WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT ? Lets take the sentences apart and see what it is! 1. the first time i looked into your eyes, the dew drops began to shimmer ( did they really? the very first time you looked into their eyes?) 2. you have the key to my heart and only you can unlock it, I knew that you were the only one for me. ( how did you know that ? because the dew drops began to shimmer? first of all the word combinations of " key, heart, unlock" do not belong in a romantic poem , its corny!) 3. It was destiny, I am yours forever, we are two souls entwined in one. (to a man that is a very scary thing to say to him, if i was a guy i would feel like this chick would stalk me after i dumped them, i would think she was overly dependent and stupid simply because, chances are the relationship is going to fail. not that i dont believe that there are people meant for each other, but you got to remember that poem will be sent to a guy by some girl he has only been dating for a month and she probably said the same thing to her last man and also he will be reading this poem on his way to go pick up his other girlfriend..the words are foolish) 4. something about tide of time( simply because i dont wanna rewrite those sentences) tide of time washing the names away...that just makes no fucking sense. and how could the impression still remain if the damn tide came and washed it away? Allright this may seem like a trifle thing to worry about , But it puts me under a tremendous amount of pressure . Yes I would like to send something sweet and sincere, There is nothing wrong with reassuring someone of your feelings, but I just think thats taking it a bit to far. So ladies, do not send these things to your man unless you have been together for 50 years, It'll just make him want to get away from you all that much quicker. Like I said " Love poetry is for girls" Men can send these things to their women and they love them all that much more. The thing is men dont look at love in that way, "dew drops dont shimmer and rainbows dont magically appear in the sky, while visions of unearthly unicorns flutter by" whatever the hell that means. Alot of the times I dont even think men actually read the poetry cards they send, becuase if they did they wouldnt send them. I think they just skim through and see theres a picture of some roses and they see words in it like, love, forever, miss, soul, sand, moonlight, essence, and then they hit the send button assumimng thats what women want to hear, unknowingly they just sent a marriage proposal, they wouldnt know!!! in fact a man could send me anything written in old english and I would probably creme in my undies. Wouldnt matter what it said either! It could read..... in Old English format: " ah alas! my love, Is it really you I doeth see off in the distant moonlight? skin so pale , and milky white, delicate , glowing underneath the willow tree.your brunette locks so wild and free like the horses mane. I doeth remember there twas a night in my dreams, where I came apon you with my glistening sword drawn high and you knelt down before me , thighs a'trembling with anticipation. I am reminisent of the feel of your skin, as it reminds me of a bovinial ass. Oh lament for me , as i miss those days apon my fathers farm! I awoke from this dream with a flood of warmth apon my body and spirit. I could live a thousand years with thee and it would not quench my thirst for for you" In modern english it reads: Oh my dear is that really you i see glowing off in the distance? your skin is so damn white you really need a tan. your hair feels coarse like straw and its so thick it looks unkempt. I had a dream about you one night where i walked up to you with my dick in hand and you were so afraid you dropped to your knees and sucked me off. and your ass reminds me of how the skin of a cow feels, leathery and hairy. I miss fucking those cows back on my daddays farm. I woke up from this dream and realized i had spooged in my sleep and it was all over the place. i am absolutely obsessed with you in a nutty kinda way and if you ever leave me ill kill you. but like i said the first version would make me creme. anyways, I think next time i said an e-greeting it'll just say " I do love you, I do miss you, I love fucking you so much that there is no need for me to want to fuck anyone else. I care about you and it would suck if you died! I respect you and admire you , you make me laugh and i enjoy your company.i want you to always be a part of my life, But only if you choose to be! That is all man needs to hear and its sincere..thats the important part! I would like to start a webpage dedicated to creating poetry designed specifically for a man..
