	E-Mail The Club Home Page About The Club    HF Activities   - Field Day   - Sweepstakes				Individual members of the club began working the ARRL Sweepstakes to keep in practice for the next year's Field Day.  The club decided to develop greater activity in the Sweepstakes, and the Federation affiliated with the American Radio Relay League in 1991.  The club then began entering the local club competition.  The club's scores are as follows. Another member won the Illinois section and the Central Division single operator unlimited SSB in 1999. The club continued to run in the Sweepstakes until 2000, when two of the club members began to submit scores for the Society of Midwest Contesters (SMC). Ultimately, five of the FARO club members became members of the SMC, and are regularly submitting Sweepstakes and other contest scores with that club.
