My Husband, Jason Jason and I have been together for four years. We met online through a penpal site. It all started with a simple e-mail to someone who shared some of my interests. We lived 500 miles apart but became close friends quickly. We spent a lot of time talking on the phone and racking up a telephone bill! We talked about everything from how our day went to when we were going to finally meet. We were both in relationships when we first met, but secretly I think we had crushes on each other. When both relationships had ended we knew we could move on and possibly start a relationship together. After six months of talking on the phone and the internet, we met on December 30, 1997. I remember that day like it was yesterday. I was so excited to finally meet him. Our first hug proved that we had made the right decision to meet, and our first kiss proved that there was definitely more than friendship that would work out between us. We spent about four days with one another before Jason had to head back home. We were able to actually see each other about once a month and we did that for about six months. In June of 1998 I graduated from high school and moved to Michigan to be with Jason. We got our first apartment together and planned a wedding for October. We were married October 2nd, 1998 in my hometown city hall with our parents and a few friends present. We had a nice reception at my Aunt's house and then when we returned to Michigan we had a reception for Jason's family that couldn't attend the wedding. I can't imagine my life without Jason. He makes me so happy. He's a very supportive man, and I couldn't ask for a better husband.
