Around the early years of the twentieth century many great collectors harvested English folk songs, and Lucy Broadwood (1858-1929) was one of the greatest of them all. Miss Broadwood's Delight contains a total of 38 folk songs. Twenty of these are from Sussex, 10 from Surrey, 2 from the borders between the two counties, and 6 from other English counties.
