FFL Coach Of The Year
In our first two seasons the Coach of the Year was selected by the commissioner. Beginning in our first match-play season of 1993, all of our coaches were asked to vote for their top three choices each year to determine the annual winner of the Coach of the Year Award. Below is an annual accounting of the winners of the award....
2003 - TIM ERVIN (2), Anorexic Toads - The Anorexic Toads posted a franchise-record 72.4 scoring average, shattering the previous record of 65.2 from back in 01. The Toads rode this to 5th Division Title. Runners-up: Tim Schroeder & Barry Dundas.
2002 - RON HARRISON (3), Damage - The Damage finished 8-6 on the year and won their 2nd Colorado Division Title. They also upset the Lionhearts in the first round of the playoffs. Runners-up: Tim Schroeder & Barry Dundas.
2001 - TONY OSIO (2), Stone Cold Lionhearts & TONY MYERS, Tony's Tigers For the first time in league history, we had an exact tie in the balloting and our first co-winners of the award. The Lionhearts won their division for the third consecutive year with an 11-3 mark. Tony's Tigers were the winners of a third straight Wildcard berth and became just the second coach to win the award despite not winning the division. Runners-up: Tim Schroeder & Tim Ervin.
2000 - TIM SCHROEDER (3), Midwest Menace: The Menace finished the year with an 11-3 record and their third straight Kansas Division Title. They also shattered most of the FFL Scoring records with a 91.2 per game scoring average during the regular season. They went on to win their second FFL Superbowl. Runners-up: Tony Myers & Tony Osio.
1999 – TONY OSIO, Stone Cold Lionhearts: In their rookie season the Lionhearts went 13-0-1 during an undefeated regular season and went on to win the FFL Superbowl. Runners-up: Tim Schroeder & Tony Myers.
