some people wish to forget that the Duran history from 1986 to 2001 never happened.

you can say ALL you want but the Simon-Nick-Warren lineup that ran from 1997 (when JT decided to quit Duran Duran and pursue his solo career) during the recording of Medazzaland to the summer of 2001, when I saw the Duran trinity in concert halfway around the world for the first (and second) time in Tokyo, Japan and got to meet these three lovely guys.

when I first got into Duran, the first "new" album by Duran that I ever bought was Pop Trash, September of my senior year of college, when I was in the midst of graduate school applications. I'll never forget putting it on my Discman and getting drawn into, particularly, "Someone Else Not Me" and "Playing with Uranium" (which, if I may say so, was totally awesome live). it never occurred to me that someday we might lose Warren. I'm still mourning the loss today, because NO ONE will be able to play "Ordinary World," "Palamino," and "The Sun Doesn't Shine Forever" quite like Warren.

so this page is my mini-shrine to the Duran trinity. may it live long in all our hearts.
