Indy 500 1984 Fiero Pace Car

Fiero Indy Pace Car The Fiero was the only mid engine car to pace the Indy, and had
more in common with the Indy cars than any other. It has a "space frame chassis"
that weighs only about 700 lbs. A modified 2.7 L engine pushed 232 horses and the
tranny was a 3 speed automatic. This 4 cyl was doubted to keep up, but proved anyone
who believed that wrong, when it ran a lap at better than 136 mph. 2000
commemorative cars were produced, only with the 2.5 L engine
