The F-15 Eagle has a perfect combat record of 101 victories and Zero defeats. F-15s downed four Mig-29 fighters during the recent Balkan conflict and 33 of 35 fixed-wing aircraft Iraq lost in air combat during Operation Desert Storm. During the Balkan conflict, the F-15E was the only fighter able to attack ground targets around the clock, in all weather conditions.
The F-15 has two Pratt&Whitney F-100-P&W-229 engines, each generates 29,000 pounds of thurst. It can reach speeds exceeding twice the speed of sound.
The F-15 can carry up to 23,000 pounds of payload. Which includes air-to-ground weapons such as the Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM).
The Hughes APG-70 radar provides high-resolution ground-mapping data that enable F-15E crews to identify targets at great distances.The Eagle can be armed with combinations of four different air-to-air weapons: AIM-7F/M Sparrow missiles or AIM-120 advanced medium range air-to-air missiles on its lower fuselage corners, AIM-9L/M Sidewinder or AIM-120 missiles on two pylons under the wings, and an internal 20mm Gatling gun in the right wing root. The F-15 Eagle can carrey four AIM-7F/M Sparrow missles, four AIM-9L/M Sidewinder missles or eight AIM-120 (AMRAAM).
