WELCOME TO MY FIRE PAGE

I am a volunter fire fighter for Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton VFD. OWL VFD consists of three stations. They are stations 2(Occoquan), 12(Woodbridge), and 14(Lake Ridge). We also have a maintenance building(old station 12). OWL was first started in September 1938.

OWL is one of the largest volunteer departments in the country. We have about 300+ members between the three stations and run approximately 15,000 calls a year. Our county has volunteer and career staffs. Career staffing is Monday-Friday from 6am-6pm. Volunteers are on duty the remainder of the nights, weekends, and on holidays. Each volunteer department has its own shift schedule. At OWL we have six duty crews(A-F) at each of our three stations. I am currently on "E" crew at station 14. Prince William County currently has 19 stations and 2 other stations(Manassas City and Manassas Park) that are within the county. There are also a couple stations that are in the planning stages that will be built in the near future.

Our department consistes of seven engines/wagons, one heavy tactical rescue squad, one 105' tower, one 110' truck, three boats, 3 brush trucks, 7 ambulance/medics, one collapse unit, one air and light unit, and numerous utility vehicles.
