The band was started at the end of 1998 and sought of died out throughout the following year only resurface at the end of 1999 amidst diminishing hope of a real future and an increasing dependence on rock stardom as a way of avoiding full time work for as long as possible. We play NU JAZZ sought of like NU METAL but with jazz. But far more important is the money for which if it wasn't a very distinct possibility that we could be rich if we were actually any good we would not be wasting our time.

We've had some good times and we've have some bad. The topsy turvy world of rock and roll can take it's toll on a struggling young band. After Timbo's addiction to sniffing perkins paste and a short stint in rehab in early 2000 and the public and torrid love affairs between Horny and several B list celebrities (even some C listers), has meant that 5KS has had its ups and downs. UNCOOL HUGO'S self inflicted exile for the spring of 2001 and Daniel Laruso leaving the band for a short while that same year to join up and coming acapella group "BOYZ 2 MEN II" (the new generation) had many critics burrying the band. But for these guys Rock and Roll is in the blood and so they reformed and are now going stronger than ever.

All of these stories and more will be revealed in the tell all book "Father of Five" written by the bands producer and long time collaborater David Morgan. Due for release in early 2004.
