Adrian has been playing since the age of 12. In 1988 he studied Music Education at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Majoring in Clarinet (with Ros Dunlop), and Double Bass (with John Gray and Max McBride).
Adrian also plays the electric bass and has taught music in high schools. He has worked as a bassist with a number of Sydney bands and performers including: singer/songwriter Simone Hardy (performing on the National TV series Good News Week), covers band The Enormous Horns, and the Peter Schaefer Ensemble (playing a fusion of elements of Indian classical music, jazz and contemporary art music lead by composer/sitarist Peter Schaefer.)
In 1998 Adrian joined the band Leadlight with singer/songwriter Nic Danta and drummer Chris Bell. Together they have recorded an EP Who Loves Ya Baby and also contributed a song to Damien Gerard's Grow Your Own 2000 compilation CD.
Adrian is currently studying for a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance Majoring in Electric Bass and Double Bass at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Adrian also performs with Simmer (original contemporary jazz) and Mistura Fina (Latin jazz). |
