-when assembling batteries, use deans speed jig. It has a function that holds the bar in place.
-if you use the tamiya-style connectors,i suggest getting rid of them. They are very high in resistance and can melt. Use a connector such as deans ultra plugs.
If you have a  traxxas stampede, it is a good idea to replace the rear hub carriers so they fit 5x11 bearings. The 5x8 bearings are too small and  can break and wear easily. RPM sells a conversion kit for this.
Having trouble removing servo tape? An easy way to remove it is use a heat gun and heat the tape up until it crinkles or softens a bit. Then take a flat blade screw driver and push the tape off.
If you ever need a "third hand", you can use a vise grip pliers, or just take some pliers and put a rubberband around them. This is very useful when assembling deans connectors.
If you need a reciever cover, just take a balloon and wrap it around the reciever. It will waterproof and keep dirt out. You can cut hole in the balloon for the speed control and servo connectors.
If your having touble putting the antenna into the antenna tube, apply some black grease to the antenna.
Put some electical tape over the screws on the bottom of the chassis to keep dirt out of them. It looks good and will stay put.
If you want an easy alternative to getting servo tape off, what you can do it put some masking tape on the piece of material, then put the servo tape on the scotch tape. So when you want to take the servo tape off, you can just remove the masking tape under it.
