Will we forget this tragic day?
I think not, as it stands!
The day of "Attack on America"
The grandest of all the lands.
Somehow we never thought
That a day like this would be,
It's hard to understand
And more difficult yet to see!
Loved ones gone in a flash
Without a shred of hope,
Will we forget this tragedy
Who cut the golden rope?
All our lives we lived happily
Without tragedy so cruel,
Will this event open our eyes
If not, then we're the fool!
God holds us in His hand
With the promise of hope, no sorrow,
So as Americans we move on
For a brighter, safe tomorrow!
Our prayers extend beyond the gate
Of clouds and skies of blue,
Dear Lord, comfort the families
Whose loved ones are now with you!
Help us to understand the strife
Thrown into our lives,
Let us know to follow You
Before one more of us dies!
No one will ever replace
The losses of young and old,
But another page in history
With a story so sad to be told.
Be with us in our daily walk
As we pray for comfort and peace,
Oh God, we ask for Your guidance
Until these actions cease!
We are all God's children
We pray to You each day,
Light the brightest candle
So we continue to find the way.
Keep us in Your heart, Dear Father
Let us not wander from Your fold,
Let us recall Your words
Written in the Book of Gold.
We need Your strength and help
To guide us from this storm,
May love bring us together
As You keep us safe and warm.
Our Father, who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done,
on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day, our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation,
and deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory,
for Ever...
